Dr. Gross received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. He was chief resident of family medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland. After years in private practice, he and his colleagues had an epiphany about an affordable health care solution, free of insurance and government intrusion. They launched Epiphany Health Direct Primary Care in 2010.
Dr. Gross is the President of the Docs 4 Patient Care Foundation and board member of DPC Action.
Shane Purcell, M.D.

Dr. Shane Purcell along with a colleague formed the first direct primary care clinic in Anderson County in 2015. Since then, he has been operating both his walk in clinic and the direct care clinic third party free in Anderson, SC.
Dr. Purcell is an active member in several medical organizations including American Association of Physicians and Surgeons, Free Market Medical Association, DPC Alliance and American Academy of Family Physicians.

Phil Eskew, D.O., J.D, MBA
Dr. Eskew is a family physician and attorney that practices in the Direct Primary Care setting. He founded DPC Frontier in Feb 2015, joined ProactiveMD in Feb 2016 and is the company’s VP of Clinical Development and General Counsel.
His research has been published in the Journal of Legal Medicine, the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine, Family Practice Management, and the West Virginia Medical Journal. Dr. Eskew has advised state and federal legislators about DPC legislation, and is the general counsel of the Direct Primary Care Coalition where he also serves as a member of the steering committee.

Ellen McKnight, M.D.
Dr. Ellen McKnight is a rheumatologist in Pensacola, Florida and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Baptist Hospital and Gulf Breeze Hospital. She received her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. McKnight accepts several types of health insurance, listed below.
Meg Edison, M.D.
Dr. Meg Edison is a pediatrician in private practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is actively involved in state level health care policy via organized medicine and grassroots physician efforts. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Kent County Medical Society, has served as a delegate and reference committee chair to the Michigan State Medical Society House of Delegates, and has testified in the state legislature on many occasions on behalf of the state medical society and sometimes testifies in opposition to the state medical society.

Dr. Kris Story-Held is in private practice at Stone Oak Ophthalmology in San Antonio, TX, and serves as the President of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPSonline.org). Dr. Held is a board-certified ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon. Dr. Held has made numerous appearances on national TV and authored numerous articles published in the Washington Times, Houston Chronicle, The Hill, Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons and Dr. Ben Carson’s AmericanCurrentsee.

Dr. Savage has been in practice since 2003. He graduated from the University of Michigan prior to receiving his MD from the prestigious Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.
He completed his residency training at the renowned Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO where he became skilled in the management of complex medical disorders.

In addition to providing care at Kansas City Direct Primary Care, she serves as a Volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Kansas and a Volunteer Clinical Instructor for the University of Colorado, allowing her to continue to educate the next generation of students as well as volunteer at the JayDoc Free Clinic.
